Galindo is spokesperson for the Villalobos Rescue Center and appearance representative for Animal Planets show Pit Bulls and Parolees. He started with the show as a parolee, fresh off a recent sentence for fraud.
Galindo, 41, was a featured guest at the inaugural Wheels for Hope car show, held at Hillcrest Park Saturday. Organizer Karen Eschenbauch said the organization uses interest in cars to spread a message of responsible pet care especially spaying and neutering of animals.
Q: Explain the show to somebody whos never seen it.
A: Basically, it pairs pitbulls, which are the most maligned breed in the world, and parolees, who are the most maligned humans in the world....

The study revealed that the most popular forms of regular excercise are bicycle riding, swimming and football.
The survey also revealed that 73 percent of parents encourage their children to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. Nevertheless, only 45 percent engage in a sports activity together with their child.
Around 60 percent of the polled parents named hiking as one of their favorite pastimes with children. Watching television together was habitual for 34 percent, while reading or doing homework together came in at 22 percent. New Zealand-born Kangaroos rookie James Tamou is right to expect some extra attention from the Kiwis in Friday nights Anzac rugby league test, according to New Zealand assistant coach Tony Iro.
Tamous selection has dominated talk ahead of the annual test, and Iro said this morning that the Palmerston North-born 23-year-old would attract some added attention during the match at Eden Park in Auckland.

MOULTONBOROUGH — Ten years ago, few lakefront property owners were willing to allow dogs in their rental properties.
But times have changed.
Local Realtors say as many as 20 percent of the rentals available on Lake Winnipesaukee this summer will allow pets.
Mark Borrin, owner of Preferred Vacation Rentals, said he is looking at a bustling summer for rentals. He has nearly 300 listings.
We ask all our property owners if they would consider pets, in the rental, he said. Today, its 15 to 20 percent who say ‘yes. About a decade ago, I would say it was about 10 to 15 percent. It is definitely trending higher than it used to, Borrin said.
